Our Story
In the early 2000’s, our founding partners began their careers in the energy industry as young apprentices, performing routine maintenance shutdown work as well as new construction activity on many of our country’s power generating plants, refineries, paper mills, natural gas compressor stations, HRSG’s, etc. During this time, they were instilled with the importance of performing work at the very highest level of safety and quality, and taking pride in the work they produced, as millions of American families depended on the energy and other benefits of a job done safely and correctly.
They learned as much as they could about energy production, the systems that enable us to harness the elemental energy of the Earth and the processes that allow us to do so in a safe, sustainable manner. They also went on to create a reputation for excellence, being called on to perform critical tasks that required skill and tact that set them apart from their peers, even going on to compete in and win national and regional skill competitions for their skills in welding, rigging, and industrial knowledge demonstration.
Throughout their careers, they were selected to play instrumental roles in some of the nation’s largest energy projects, notably including craft leadership and project management roles in constructing the nation’s first new construction nuclear power generating facility in over 3 decades. This experience afforded them with the opportunity to be fully immersed in a nuclear culture regarding integrity, safety and quality, as the standards for nuclear construction are more stringent than that of any other construction in the world, and the stakes are much higher, leaving very little room for mistakes and errors.
These experiences have proven valuable in developing project management systems that put safety and quality at the forefront of every project they worked on, both as field leadership and craft personnel. Both would go on to hold key leadership roles in the construction and maintenance of many of our country’s most significant energy construction projects.
A constant pursuit for a greater impact led our founders to careers in inspection in the Oil & Gas Industry, representing many of the biggest natural gas and oil companies in the business on some of the largest scale construction projects in the Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia area. Their rich and diverse backgrounds proved valuable, allowing them to leverage their experience to quickly progress in their careers, holding multiple key roles on large scale projects, from Lead Welding Inspector, to Chief Inspector, and more.
Over the years, they gained the ability to easily recognize the characteristics of a high-quality inspection or construction professional, and love the opportunity to apply their leadership skills to assist in further developing these characteristics in the members of our team. Through developing strong, meaningful personal and professional relationships with people who share and embody our values, Element Integrity Solutions, LLC and Element Energy Contracting Services, LLC were born.
We’ve partnered with some of the most talented and skilled professionals we’ve ever had the opportunity to work with to build a dream team of inspection and construction experts who are as passionate about using their gifts to make a difference and leave their mark on the world as we are. In doing so, we believe we’ve created something truly special that will help shape a better future, setting a new standard for Performance, Integrity, and Collaboration in our industry. Our team is comprised of individuals who not only seamlessly integrate into, but also add great value to our client partners’ teams. Some of the most easily recognizable trends include the lack of synergy and collaboration between contractors and gas production and transmission companies in which an “Us vs. Them” culture exists, a lack of skilled, adequately trained craftsmen who take pride in the work they perform, a lack of esteem in project documentation, and a lack of unwavering commitment to stated values. These are the principles we are setting out to improve on in our industry. We believe that how you do anything, is how you do everything. We are founded on taking pride in our work as well as our conduct, and always do the best we can at every task, no matter the size or scope. Our amazing team is comprised of individuals who have spent decades crafting a strong, comprehensive background in the construction and inspection of upstream and midstream facilities, midstream pipelines and related components and facilities within the energy production and transmission industries. We have represented many of the major natural gas companies on large-scale key projects in the capacities of inspection, inspection management, and construction project management, which has provided us firsthand experience in the value of doing the right thing, and not taking shortcuts.
